Did you know...

While the ACT / SAT are optional for most college acceptance requirements now, it can still benefit you to take the test(s). Here are some reasons why:

Some colleges still use your test scores to help determine your Financial Aid package.

Some scholarships will ask for your test scores as part of the application process.

Some colleges are still using test scores as part of your acceptance process.

The tests are designed to give you an idea of how well prepared you are for college-level work AND to give you

Regent Universities

Ever wondered what it takes to be accepted into one of Iowa's Regent Universities (Iowa State University, University of Iowa, and University of Northern Iowa)? Use the Regent Admissions Index (RAI) Calculator to find your index score. If you have the minimum number of required high school courses and score a 245 or higher on the index, you meet the automatic acceptance criteria for ISU, UNI, and College of Liberal Arts at UofI.

Curious how your SWCC credits will transfer to one of the regent universities? Check out the transfer in Iowa document they put together here or visit the Transfer in Iowa website here for more information!
