East Union Archery Registration & Parent Meeting

East Union is in need of individuals interested in Officiating JH and JV basketball this winter. Due to low Officiating numbers in the area, we currently don't have any officials available to work our home games.

Officials must be certified. If you, or anyone you know is interested in becoming certified to officiate our home JH/JV basketball games, please let Nate know at nmccollough@eastunionschools.org.

10th grade students traveled to Creston today for SWCC's Career Day! Students learned about the various pathways that SWCC has to offer and competed in some friendly competitions throughout the day. Hayden Mohr tied for second place in the Automotive Paint Sprayer Simulator competition, Gabe Lauffer got 1st place in the Automotive Paint Sprayer Simulator competition, and Cyler Wuebker was the recipient of a $500 SWCC scholarship! Sophomores represented East Union well today! Thank you to SWCC for hosting such a fun and educational event!

Mrs. Kendrick and her Field Biology class took a trip to the Blank Park Zoo. 🐾 Students had the incredible opportunity to meet with zoo employees during a career panel. 🐾 They then toured the zoo, discovering how Blank Park Zoo supports both local and international conservation efforts to protect wildlife and habitats. #handsonlearning #eaglepride

Congratulations to Freshman, Bryce Pettit! He was recognized as the Podium Ink Player of the week for week 5! He had a standout performance, with 4 carries for 10 yds, 2 catches for 25 yds, a TD, 7.5 tackles, and an INT.

EU FCCLA took on Fall Rally! Our East Union FCCLA members traveled to Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge yesterday for the annual FCCLA Fall Rally! ♦️ Students competed in events and attended some awesome sessions focused on Family & Consumer Sciences and Human Services. ♦️ Adam McNeill and Anthony Pantoja received 🥇 on their Grilled Cheese Challenge! 🌟 Iowa’s Healthiest Walk – Eagle Style! 🌟 On Wednesday, October 1st, our East Union students took part in the Iowa Healthiest Walk! 💙 Our middle school and high school students teamed up with our elementary buddies. 🤍 We enjoyed activities such as coloring, cards, reading, bot coding, and more. 🩵 We walked the trails and had a picnic at the Union County Fairgrounds before return to school. #EaglePride #IowaHealthiestWalk #EUStrong #TogetherWeSoar

- JH/JV Football - A decision will be made early this afternoon on if these game will be played, based on radar and field conditions

HS Volleyball Schedule Update :

We've added a JV/V match with Diagonal on Thursday 10/9 in Diagonal. JV will begin at 5:30 pm, with Varsity to follow.

POI Tournament, Round 1 : Monday 10/13 we will be playing Wayne, in Mt. Ayr at 6 pm. The winner will then play Mt. Ayr later that evening.

On Wednesday, October 24th, East Union FFA members participated in the district soil competition. Both teams competed very well and had the points to advance to state, but only one team from each school can qualify.

The team placing 3rd and advancing to state are Brock Jones, Gwen Nixon, Mia Tallmon, and Peyton Cunningham. Individually, Liam Morris tied for 1st place, while Brock Jones received 5th, and Mia Tallmon received 8th.

Our East Union Ag shop classes built a stand for “Patch”, the Crisis Response Canine here in Union County!
👏 Patch got A LOT of love and attention from our kids and even enjoyed watching a great football game under the Friday night lights. 🏈✨
