EU Sophomore Morgan Cooley will be competing at the Drake Relays on Thursday and Friday! Morgan will be throwing Discuss in the 1st Flight at 2:30 pm Thursday 4/25 and the 2nd Flight of Shot Put at 9 am on Friday 4/26! Good Luck Morgan!
The Boy's track team would also like to thank the EU Booster Club for purchasing tickets for the team to attend and cheer on Morgan, when he throws on Thursday!
Field Biology class attended two field trips this month. Students learned about the water treatment process at 12 Mile Water Treatment Plant and how wastewater is processed at Creston Wastewater Treatment Plant. Also, students toured Rathbun Fish Hatchery as part of their Iowa Fisheries Unit.

Today is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Thank you for getting our students to and from school safely each day!
East Union families and guests are invited to our annual Family Literacy and Learning Night on Tuesday, April 30th, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Elementary Gym. This year’s featured guest is John Collins, “The Airplane Guy.” Here is your chance to see how a record-breaking paper airplane is constructed and hear the story from the 2012-2022 Guinness Record Holder in person! Following Mr. Collins’ presentation, there will be a light supper and a free book for all students who attend. There will be a JH Baseball Player/Parent meeting tomorrow (Tuesday 4/23) night at 5:30 in the concourse. This is intended to go over the start of practice, information on the season and hand out uniforms and hats. If you're unable to attend, but plan on playing, please let coach Nate know.

Ms. Hoadley's fifth grade class performed the musical, "Theseus and the Minotaur," Monday, April 15th. In this slightly different story line from the original, Theseus wanted to become a hero, so he volunteered to fight King Minos' Minotaur. Theseus used his wit to defeat the Minotaur with snacks, which earned Theseus the title of hero.
The students did a wonderful job! Congratulations!

The JH Boys' Track team brought home 2nd place overall from the Lamoni meet on Tuesday! They didn't have a chance to get the plaque before leaving Tuesday, so it arrived today!
