East Union Fine Arts Department is excited to host Des Moines Metro Opera Iowa again this year. Wednesday, April 15th @ 7 pm, Opera Iowa will perform Cinderella. This event is free to the public. In conjunction with the evening performance, students will enjoy a performance during the school day of The Billy Goats Gruff, along with Masterclasses. This event is made possible by our Fine Arts Grant received this year.

As of now, the HS Girls track meet at Nodaway Valley is still on.

Public Hearing – School Calendar
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Board of Directors of the East Union Community School District on the proposed school calendar for the 2026–2027 school year. The hearing will take place on April 20, 2026, at 6:35 p.m. in the Collaborative Learning Center.
The proposed calendar includes the start and end dates for the school year, scheduled holidays, professional development days, and other key dates. Interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and provide input or comments regarding the proposed calendar.
The calendar will be available on the district website and at the District Office prior to the hearing. Written comments may also be submitted in advance to the Superintendent’s Office. Draft Calendar Link: https://aptg.co/3sX646

There will be a Parent/Player meeting at 6 pm on Thursday, April 9th in the concourse, for all planning to play JH baseball this summer.

YES! Family Literacy and Learning Night, along with the 8:00 drone show on the football field, will take place tonight at East Union Schools! We had a great day of learning with Don “The Wiz” Wisneiski and his crew from Fantasy Drones. We kindly remind you that the 6:00 assembly and the meal following are for our East Union kindergarten through fifth grade students and their families. The 8:00 drone show is open to the community. We ask that you be seated on the north side of the football field and track, please. Dress warm, and we look forward to seeing you there!
