ALL TK-12th grade students will have the opportunity to work with Greg Preslicka to learn new art concepts while creating a collaborative mural to be displayed in the East Union Auditorium. The East Union FCCLA traveled to Iowa State University on Thursday, March 21, to attend the "Pig To Plate Adventure". During the day they had multiple workshops that included Pork Education, tours of the ISU Swine Teaching Farms, a fabrication of a pork carcass and a pork cooking and food safety workshop. The students enjoyed meeting and learning along with several other students.
The East Union Schools will have a public forum for the Board to receive comments related to the 24-25 calendar on March 27th at 6:30 pm in the Collaborative Learning Center at the MS/HS.

The EU Booster Club and Baseball team have joined forces to put on a camp for grades 3-12! We'll be bringing in Coach Michael Barta, State Champion and Coach of the Year from Johnston High School. Coach Barta will be running the camp, as well as providing a presentation.
The EU Boys Track team went to Central College last night for their 2nd meet of the year. Morgan Cooley took home 1st place in the shot put and the Distance Medley Relay Team of Jacob Driskill, Brock Driskill, Aiden Denton, and Pheolan Kelley took home 3rd place!
He did it AGAIN! Sophomore, Morgan Cooley broke his own school record for Shot Put at last night's Boys Track Meet at Central College! A record that lasted exactly 1 week, which had previously been held since 1977. Last night, he broke his own record by 3 feet! He won the event and set a new record with a throw of 54' 8"!
East Union has received a couple of opportunities for students to earn community service hours towards graduation. Students in grades 9-12 are required to have 50 total hours to graduate. (9th: 10 hrs, 10th: 10 hrs, 11th: 15 hrs, and 12th: 15 hrs). If you are interested in either of these opportunities, reach out.

Students are selling delicious pies and bakeshop items through Monday, March 18th, 2024. Items will be delivered just in time for Easter. Items will be picked up and delivered by March 28th. If you would like to order, or would rather make a donation, please let me know. These kids are so excited to embark on their trip to Greece & Italy for 14 days! 😊

What is Eagles Take Flight?
A group of students that have signed up through EF Tours to explore the world through hands-on education. It is designed to allow students to become world travelers safely. These students are responsible for paying for their own educational trip. Fundraising is just one of the ways to help the students and parents fund the trip.
Ms. Vaughan's students had the honor of performing in the Junior High Honor Band at Lenox High School tonight. Performing were Eastyn Sick, Asher Aldrich, Cyler Wuebker, and Hayden Mohr.
RECORD BREAKER ALERT! Last night the Eagles Boy's Track team competed at the IATC Indoor Championships and Sophomore Morgan Cooley took home 3rd place in the shot put with a throw of 51' 0.5". This is also a new Eagle Record, previously held by D. Mitchell at 50'7.25" in 1977!
